I failed to go to 250 from the 245 from last week. I honestly forgot to write this week because I have had a lot on my plate over the last few weeks. But to answer this was I successful? partially I was for my original goal I was't successful but that is alright once I figured out that it was going to be impossible to reach 275 with the time given. But for my second goal I did meet the goal and pretty sure accidentally exceed it. my final product would be starting at 185 to 245.
Somethings that went well would be the fact that almost every week I was able to but more weight on the bar consistently, but that was also a downside because I couldn't put enough weight each week to reach my original goal. But what I should have done to possibly reach 275 would have been the usage of a belt and straps which could have been game changing "but I guess well never know" - Kanye West. But what I should have done different also in terms of form would be since I am always PR ing I should do just 1 of each weight to not be too tired at the end when trying a new weight.

What I've learned from this experience would be that consistency is key in all of this and without it you cant move on forward. Motivation would be another thing too. Usually I would look up to doing this because this day was also a back day which is also my favorite day to work out. But also sometimes needing to go on a busy schedule or with no motivation that day came sometimes be draining, also having school work and my personal life on top eh.
Date: 05-08-2024 I deadlifted either 235 or 245. The problem is not the weights on the bar but the problem was THE BAR I don't know if the bar weighs 35 or if it was the normal 45. But I did not notice that the small plate on each side were 10's so its more likely that the bar weighted 35. but who knows.
DATE: 04-29-2024 today is Monday and I have not dead lifted today but I will like to answer question for the genius hour presentation starting with WHY DID I DO IT? I did dead lifting because my friend Levi Shepard was able to dead-lift 365 and close to 405 in just a span of a semester, and I was inspired by how little time he had to do so much. But also out of topic I hope I can do 235 this week so I can hopeful hit my OG goal. DATE: 05-08-2024 So I did dead lift that week but I didn't record making it not count. Note to self never take a long time when starting a video ruining the whole thing and wasting time. But I did do 225 for 2 in 5 second rest inbetween.
This week I hit 225 PR. Which is about time that I hit 225. I think I will try 235 next week and if I can hit that try to get my original goal of 275 or at least get close to it and surpass 235. What I just might do is add the use of lifting straps and a belt to help me go up in weight after hitting 235. Something I should ask myself for the presentation that I will have to do inevitability would be, What did I do? which I will answer by saying that I did a compound- workout that works out a lot of muscle groups including the back, hamstrings, glutes, and the traps. This movement can also improve overall strength and build muscle hypertrophy.
This week I feel like 205 has gotten easier compared to last week when I was only able to do it once now I can do 4 times. But something I did different was that I took my shoes off to give me a platform on my feet. This was advice from a friend which I think benefited the lift. But I did not attempt 225 but no I have clarity that I can do it.
So this week I hit a PR of 205, with no belt to assist. What I might do is try for 225 next week first thing with no belt. A belt is just a big belt to help you lift more. Which I might incorporate if I can’t lift much by the end, which I won’t need to get 235 but might use to get 275. Also what I’m gonna try to do to increase my strength would be to warm up with 195. Since 185 seems easy.

DATE: 3/30/2024 So in the video below I did 185 for 5 which before could only do it once and be outa breath. I think I could have done more but I don’t know. What I do know is afterward I felt way too lightheaded. I feel like not doing it much has lost my gains but now at the half way point I can bounce back. I was going to go up in weight too but I decided not to cause I still had to finish the back workout and it was getting late. This being the half-way point doesn’t mean much cause I’m gonna hit 235 one way or another.
DATE: 03-20-24 I haven't dead-lifted today I'm going to do that tomorrow on Thursday. But what I wanted to say would be that I will start bulking after some inspiration from another group that being Aidan and Luke. The purpose for the start would be from research of this be causing an increase in strength. DATE: 03-21-24
This week I was not able to complete my weekly deadlift sadly. I guess I had multiple things going on like projects, assignments and outside life that I was so distracted from doing Genius Hour. Also to add on I think my goal of getting a 275 weight goal is possibly unrealistic for what time I have to meet that goal so I will instead cut it back a bit maybe by 45 pounds making it 230 so it will be kind of realistic to hit that goal in the next 8 week period.
DATE: 03-06-24 Today 185 felt pretty light and when warming up it also felt light. But I did not attempt my 200 PR or go past that weight limit. But I'm feeling confident that next week I can probably go beyond that PR/ Limit. What do I feel like since this week marks 25% done with the genius hour project? I feel like I am getting used to dead-lifting right now since I have never done till now. But I feel like in the coming weeks I will see progressive progress in increasing weight. I'm starting to wonder if I should include bulking and taking protein while doing Genius Hour to try to increase my dead-lift weight.
